The Yard at Harvest Pours First and Feeds You Later

The Yard at Harvest is officially open. The Woodinville Chamber of Commerce announced it on October 14 and called the project "now complete," with the first tenants open to the public and the commercial space nearly 90% leased. Most of the businesses open so far pour things: champagne, Washington wine and bourbon. Coffee, sushi and most of the sit-down dinners have opening dates spread across November, December and 2027.

That order shapes what the Yard is good for right now. It works well as an afternoon or early-evening stop off the Sammamish River Trail. It doesn't yet work as a full morning or a full dinner. In full disclosure, our own office is one of the Yard's tenants, listed by the Chamber among the businesses already open. Here is what you can walk into the week of October 29, what is about to open, and what is still a few months off.

What's pouring in the Hollywood District right now

These are the businesses with "Now Open" on their tenant pages in Harvest's directory, plus the ones the Chamber and Woodinville Wine Country reported as already welcoming visitors:

  • Bong Bóng Bar, unit F15. French champagne with Vietnamese small plates. It's the only food-forward business confirmed open so far.
  • Avennia, which held its ribbon-cutting at Harvest on October 9. The Chamber called it a new home for the established winery.
  • Grosgrain, which was already open when Woodinville Wine Country introduced Harvest on October 8.
  • Cascade Cliffs and Gård Estate Wines, both on the Chamber's list of October arrivals and both now marked open.
  • Elk Haven Winery, whose Harvest page lists it as open daily from noon to 6 p.m. It held its Woodinville tasting room grand opening on October 24 as part of a wine-and-chocolate pairing weekend that ran October 23 through 25.
  • J.P. Trodden, for hand-crafted bourbon tastings.
  • Elm Candle Bar, where you pour your own candle. It held its grand opening weekend October 9 through 11.
  • Vaunt Gallery, which both the Chamber and Woodinville Wine Country list as open.

Houseguest also held a ribbon-cutting on October 9. King's Cigar Club has hours posted on its Harvest page but isn't yet marked open.

Count it up and you get five wine tasting rooms, a champagne bar, a bourbon counter, a candle bar and a gallery. That's a full afternoon. It's a lot less of a dinner.

The second wave lands this week, mostly

The days just before this post came out brought two more names to the Yard. One keeps the drinks-first pattern going, and the other is the first dinner restaurant on the schedule.

House Balthazar announced October 23 as its opening day. It pairs champagne with macarons. Harvest's directory lists it open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Those late weekend hours are among the longest posted at the Yard.

Brass Steak & Seafood is the first full-dinner restaurant on the schedule. The Puget Sound Business Journal reported it's part of Harvest's first wave of restaurants. The Chamber gave it an October 24 target. Its Harvest page still read "Opening soon" heading into the week. Reservations go through OpenTable from Brass's own site, so that's the quickest place to see whether a table is actually bookable before you plan a steak night around it.

One October name has already moved. The Chamber listed Matthews Winery among the October tasting-room openings. Matthews' own visit page now says mid-November, with a $25 seasonal flight of four wines, one tasting fee waived with a bottle purchase, and booking online.

"With tenant openings ongoing, there will be as many as nineteen establishments operating for the Festival, with rolling openings throughout the fall and into 2027."

That's the Chamber's own wording from before the October 17 Harvest Fall Festival. "Rolling" is the key word. Target months are targets, and Matthews already shows how one can slip by a few weeks.

Coffee comes in November, and most of dinner waits for 2027

Put the remaining openings on a calendar and the pattern holds. The Yard fills its mornings and its dinner hours last. Here are the published target windows:

  1. November: Visible Coffee, Edit, and Matthews Winery's tasting room.
  2. Later this fall: Lachini Vineyards and Walla Walla Vintners. Woodinville Wine Country refers to the Lachini space as Enoteca Lachini.
  3. December: Sugo Hand-Rolled Sushi, Matcha Magic and Honor Pilates. Honor Society Pilates is currently taking a waitlist on its site.
  4. 2027: Cactus, The Crawlspace Gastropub, a new restaurant concept from chef Hari Nayak, and the Zirckle-Rousch tasting room.
  5. Fall 2027: Kiln, a members' workspace that has leased 22,045 square feet for private offices, team studios and shared desks.

Kiln matters for the same reason the coffee shop does. When the Chamber described the deal, it pointed to the Sammamish River Trail and the Eastside's aerospace, hardware and tech employers as part of the draw. A daytime crowd working on site, plus a coffee bar and a matcha counter, is what gives the Yard a reason to be busy before noon. Most of that is still months away.

Until then, the 2027 restaurant names are where the Yard's dinner business is headed. For now, Bong Bóng Bar's Vietnamese plates and the Brass opening are the meal options inside the Yard.

How an evening works there right now

With the tenant mix as it stands, an evening at Harvest reaches past the Yard itself. The SOMM Hotel & Spa sits right next door and is marking its first anniversary this fall. Woodinville Wine Country points to two places to eat at the hotel, Bin 47 and the rooftop bar and restaurant The Shed, and notes that day visitors are welcome too. Vin de Spa, with treatments, steam rooms and saunas, rounds out the options for anyone who wants an afternoon that isn't built around a glass.

That points to a simple order for now. Walk the trail in the afternoon, do a flight at one of the five tasting rooms or a pour at Bong Bóng Bar, then go next door for dinner, or to Brass once it confirms. For an evening that runs late on a Friday or Saturday, House Balthazar's 11 p.m. close is the one posted for those nights.

On getting there, Harvest's location page lists the Yard at 14482 147th Place NE. It describes structured parking in the Yard, extra surface parking around the edges, ADA spaces and EV chargers. The Chamber puts the garage at 652 underground spaces. Harvest doesn't post fees, validation or time limits, so check the signs at the garage entrance before a long visit.

Before you go, the Harvest tenant directory is the most current place to see which doors have switched to "Now Open."

December fills in around the Yard

No Yard events for November or December have been published yet. The rest of Woodinville's holiday calendar is already set, and it lines up with the Yard's December openings.

  • October 30: Murder Mystery Dinner & Masquerade at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Manor House, 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $225, or $180 for wine club members.
  • November 14: Through the Decades: 30 Years of Artist Series at the Manor House, 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $300, or $240 for members.
  • December 5: The Celebrate Woodinville Winterfest 5K starts at Wilmot Gateway Park at 9:30 a.m. Early registration runs through November 16 at $35 for ages 16 and up and $20 for ages 15 and under, then goes to $45 and $35. That afternoon, the Holiday Fair & Tree Lighting runs 3 to 6 p.m. at DeYoung Park, with the tree lit at 5:30.
  • December 13: A holiday cookie decorating class at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Theater, 1 to 4 p.m., $65 with a glass of wine or a nonalcoholic drink. That evening, the Winterfest Car Parade & Festival starts at 6 p.m. It runs through Woodin Creek Village and down 175th Street to the Haggen and Red Robin lot, where a festival goes from 6 to 8 p.m.

Woodinville Wine Country also reports a Trothe tasting salon tentatively planned for December at Chateau Ste. Michelle, pouring wines from Horse Heaven Hills vineyards. If the Yard's targets hold, December also brings Sugo's sushi counter and Matcha Magic, the month when the Hollywood District starts to cover the lunch and morning hours too.

We work out of the Yard, so we see each new storefront open as it happens. If you're thinking about what Harvest's arrival means for your own place in Woodinville, FIRST AND MAIN would be glad to talk it through over a coffee at Visible Coffee once it opens. Book an Appointment and we'll find a time.
