There’s something magical about November in Snohomish. The mornings arrive wrapped in fog, downtown windows glow with the first hints of holiday light, and the air carries that comforting mix of woodsmoke, coffee, and cinnamon.
It’s the season for slowing down, reconnecting, and savoring everything that makes our town feel like home. This month, we’re shining a light on the people and places that make Snohomish so warm and welcoming — from local bakeries whipping up Thanksgiving pies to neighbors giving back through our annual Holiday Giving Tree.

½ cup unsalted butter, softened
-
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
-
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
-
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions:
-
Whip the butter until light and fluffy (1–2 minutes).

Add maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt; whip again until smooth.

Spoon into a ramekin and chill. Serve with warm rolls or roasted yams.
Pro tip: Package it in a small jar with a ribbon for an easy, thoughtful hostess gift.
Community Corner: The Snohomish Boys & Girls Club Holiday Giving Tree
At First And Main one of our favorite traditions is giving back — and for the third year in a row, we’re proud to partner with the Snohomish Boys & Girls Club for their Holiday Giving Tree!
Here’s how you can join us in spreading a little joy this season:
-
Take a tag: Stop by our office to pick a tag from the tree.
-
Shop local: Each tag represents a local child or family in need this holiday season.
-
Give with purpose: Gifts go directly to families right here in Snohomish — fulfilling real wish lists and ensuring no gift goes to waste.
Every wrapped present helps to create holiday magic for kids in our community — and we’re so thankful for the continued generosity that helps us support this cause.
This tradition means so much to us, and we’re honored to see it grow year after year.
Letters to Santa: Drop Yours Here at First And Main
The magic doesn’t stop there. We’re also bringing back our Letters to Santa Mailbox this holiday season.
Starting mid-November, children can drop off their letters to Santa right here at our First And Main Real Estate office in Downtown Snohomish, and we’ll make sure they’re delivered straight to the North Pole.
Be sure to include a return address — rumor has it Santa loves writing back to the local kids. It’s one more way to spread joy and keep the season special for local families.
Gratitude in Action
November reminds us that gratitude grows best when shared. This month, we invite you to:
-
Support three local businesses you love.
-
Thank a neighbor or local volunteer.
-
Contribute to a community cause — whether it’s the Giving Tree, a food bank donation, or a handwritten letter to Santa.
Every small act of kindness helps keep Snohomish the close-knit, generous community we’re so proud to call home.
From cozy bakeries to giving hearts, Snohomish shines brightest in the season of gratitude. As we head into the holidays, we’re so thankful for our neighbors, our small businesses, and everyone who makes this community thrive.
We are thankful to have you as part of our community here at First And Main — here’s to full hearts, warm homes, and plenty of pie.
